With the holiday season upon us, the needs of the community around us are magnified. Wilmac has been a part of the Greater Rochester community since 1957 and has enjoyed giving back in various ways over the years. This year, Wilmac is gathering toys and encouraging monetary donations to benefit the Pirate Toy Fund. The Pirate Toy Fund is a Rochester-based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to distributing new toys year-round to children-in-need throughout the Greater Rochester region. The Fund has donated almost 400,000 toys to over 100 different agencies since 1995, and has a goal this holiday season to gather 20,000 toys.
From now until December 22nd, Wilmac will be gathering toys to donate in its Rochester headquarters. With opportunities for physical and virtual donations, employees are able to purchase new, unwrapped toys to donate or can donate virtually through the Pirate Toy Fund virtual toy store. Online, you can donate $10, $25, $50, or a custom amount to the fund.
