Wilmac’s recent membership with the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce has elicited exciting opportunities to support the Rochester community as the holiday season approaches. This year, Wilmac will be participating in the Chamber IMPACT: SBC Cares 2021 Thanksgiving Initiative, filling ten food boxes to donate.
The Small Business Council, a Greater Rochester Chamber affiliate, provides Thanksgiving food boxes to families in need during this event. Participating companies drop off the boxes of food they gathered from donations on the Friday before Thanksgiving (November 19) and then dozens of volunteers deliver the boxes to local, not-for-profit organizations the next day. This year, the SBC seeks to meet the needs of more than 4,000 local families.
