Position Details

The Cloud Architect plays a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications that are scalable, reliable, and secure. They must have strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure, programming languages, and DevOps tools, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and Implementing cloud infrastructure and services to support application development and deployment
• Creating and managing application deployment pipelines using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket, and Docker
• Designing and developing cloud-based applications using programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Ruby
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud-based applications
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure successful application delivery
• Monitoring and optimizing application performance and scalability in the cloud
• Ensuring application security and compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of best practices and standards
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud-based application development
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to peers

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud-based solutions design, implementation, and software development
• Experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on one or more public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficient with cloud technologies including virtualization, containers, and microservices architecture
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, C++ or C#
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP/JSON web service API implementation
• Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQLServer, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in the cloud
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks in cloud-based solutions
• Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are a plus
