Due to market growth and the recent expansion of our solution offerings, Wilmac is hiring skilled Sales Engineers to assist in our efforts.

Performance Profile

Sales Engineers are vital contributors to Wilmac’s growth. The right candidates have strong backgrounds in technology fields, such as communications systems, Windows servers and data networking. These skills enable them to understand call recording technology, and to quickly learn to produce accurate solution configurations for our customers. Sales Engineers work with our Solution Managers to develop sales opportunities. They use probing questions to understand and anticipate customers’ needs, and they manage and interpret those needs when designing solution configurations and creating price quotes. The Sales Engineers’ key focus is to ensure the highest standards of compatibility, completeness and fault-tolerance in every design. Strong written communication skills provide the basis for creating professional documentation. Strong verbal communication skills enable the Sales Engineers to assist our Solution Managers in delivering effective sales presentations. Sales Engineers establish trust with every customer by sharing their technical expertise.

Travel throughout the United States and Canada is necessary. Travel varies depending on business activity and is estimated to be six to eight trips per year of two to three days each. Such trips may require the use of personal vehicles.

Sales Engineers report to the Manager of Presales Support, who is located at Wilmac’s headquarters office in Rochester, New York. Applicants should be located within easy travel distance to Rochester.
